About
Cheryl Schuermann is an award-winning author, speaker, career educator, and literacy consultant. She devoted her professional career to literacy education and working with at-risk students. After many years in the classroom, Cheryl contracted as a literacy consultant and curriculum trainer in schools across the United States. She wrote and conducted dozens of workshops and presented at numerous literacy conferences.
With a goal of building a legacy of faith, Cheryl and her husband Stan have mentored and taught parents in their local church for nearly three decades. Cheryl spends as much time as possible with her family: Stan (married 53 years), four sons, four daughters-in-law, and thirteen grandchildren. They are her inspiration and source of her many stories. The Schuermann Farm is her favorite place to write, be with family, and host ministry groups.
Cheryl is the author of several published books, numerous articles, and is an anthology contributor. Her multi award-winning devotional book, Farmhouse Devotions: God’s Glory in the Ordinary, published as a 2nd edition in May 2025 with Kaleidoscope Publishing. She also co-writes with her husband Stan for parents and children. Their award-winning parenting book, Raising Kids for Tomorrow’s World, will launch as a 2nd edition early 2026 with Kaleidoscope Books. Get Your Boots On: Calling Boys Up to Biblical Manhood is expected to release Summer 2026.
Cheryl is a Word Weavers International online president, and a member of Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA) and Christian Authors Network/CIPA.
